Day 0 (August 13, 2027): Arrival in Tanzania - Transfer from Airport to Moshi
You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. Meet our lead trekking expert for a comprehensive pre-climb briefing and gear check before resting for the night.

Day 1 (August 14, 2027): Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
The scenic drive from Moshi to Machame Gate takes about 1 hour. Starting from the gate, you will trek through a lush, winding trail enveloped by a dense rain forest up to Machame Camp.

Day 2 (August 15, 2027): Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp
Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Habitat: Heath
A shorter but steeper day of hiking. Ascend past several stunning viewpoints looking out over the forests and Kibo Peak, transitioning into high-altitude vegetation like Lobelia deckenii.

Day 3 (August 16, 2027): Shira Cave to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft, descending to 13,044 ft
Distance: 10 km / 6 miles
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Climb east toward the towering volcanic rock of Lava Tower for high-altitude acclimatization, then descend through the striking Senecio Valley down to Barranco Camp.

Day 4 (August 17, 2027): Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Elevation: 13,044 ft to 13,106 ft
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles

Begin by scaling the non-technical yet steep Great Barranco Wall, followed by an undulating trek across valleys and a final climb up to Karanga Camp for optimal acclimatization.

Elevation: 13,106 ft to 15,331 ft
Distance: 4 km / 2 miles

Connect with the Mweka Trail heading up to Barafu Hut. Enjoy stunning views of both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks as you rest and have an early dinner in preparation for summit night.

Day 6 (August 19, 2027): Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, descend to Mweka Camp
Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,341 ft, descending to 10,065 ft
Distance: 18 km / 10 miles

Begin your midnight push to the summit under the stars. Reach Stella Point for a magnificent sunrise, then continue onward to Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa. Descend back down past Barafu to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

Complete your final descent through the lower rainforest to Mweka Gate to receive your official Kilimanjaro climbing certificates before being transferred back to your hotel in Moshi.
