Day 0 (October 18, 2027): Arrival in Tanzania - Airport Transfer to Moshi

You will be warmly welcomed at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and privately transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. You will meet our lead mountain expert for a comprehensive briefing and gear check before resting for the night.

Day 1 (October 19, 2027): Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
A 1-hour drive from Moshi brings us to Machame Gate. Starting our trek, we wind through the rich rainforest on a scenic ridge trail leading straight to Machame Camp.

Day 2 (October 20, 2027): Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp

Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Habitat: Heath
A shorter yet steeper day takes us upward across open moorlands with stunning viewpoints of Kibo peak and Mount Meru. High-altitude flora like giant lobelias begin to appear.

Day 3 (October 21, 2027): Shira Cave to Lava Tower, Down to Barranco Camp

Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft, descending to 13,044 ft
Distance: 10 km / 6 miles
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
We trek east toward the imposing Lava Tower before descending into the lush Barranco Valley. Climbing high and sleeping low provides fantastic acclimatization benefits.

Day 4 (October 22, 2027): Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Elevation: 13,044 ft to 13,106 ft
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
We begin by scaling the iconic, non-technical Great Barranco Wall, then traverse rolling ridges and valleys down to Karanga Valley for an afternoon rest designed to enhance acclimatization.

Day 5 (October 23, 2027): Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Elevation: 13,106 ft to 15,331 ft
Distance: 4 km / 2 miles
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
We leave Karanga to connect with the Mweka Trail, ascending the rocky path to Barafu Hut. Here we complete the Southern Circuit, rest early, and prepare mentally for summit night.

Day 6 (October 24, 2027): Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, Descent to Mweka Camp

Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,341 ft, descending to 10,065 ft
Distance: 18 km / 10 miles
Hiking Time: 13-14 hours
Habitat: Arctic
Beginning around midnight in extreme cold and wind, we push past Stella Point to reach Uhuru Peak—Africa's highest summit. Afterward, we descend carefully back down to Mweka Camp for our final night on the mountain.

Day 7 (October 25, 2027): Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, Transfer to Moshi

Elevation: 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft
Distance: 10 km / 6 miles
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
On our final morning, we complete our descent to Mweka Gate to collect official summit certificates before taking our private vehicle back to the hotel in Moshi.
