It is ideal for both first-time hikers and experienced backpackers looking for a rewarding physical challenge.

What to Expect on the Trail

Your expedition will be led by expert, certified mountain guides with years of experience on Kilimanjaro, backed by an elite support crew dedicated to keeping you safe and comfortable.
The Machame Route takes you through five distinct ecological zones: lush Afromontane rainforests, dense heathlands with giant groundsels and lobelias, moorlands, alpine deserts, and finally the arctic glacial zone near the summit.
With Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris, your journey to the roof of Africa is handled with professional care from start to finish.
