Day 0 (September 07, 2027): Arrival in Tanzania - Transfer from Airport to Moshi
You will be greeted at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred directly to your hotel in Moshi town. Meet your lead trekking expert for a comprehensive briefing and gear check before resting for the night.

Day 1 (September 08, 2027): Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft
Distance: 11 km/7 miles
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (approx. 1 hour). Ascend through the winding trails of the dense rain forest on a scenic ridge leading straight up to Machame Camp.

Day 2 (September 09, 2027): Machame Camp to Shira Cave
Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft
Distance: 5 km/3 miles
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Habitat: Heath
A shorter yet steeper day of trekking. Ascend through alpine moorland past unique high-altitude plants like Dendrosenecio kilimanjari and Lobelia deckenii, catching stunning views of Kibo peak and Mount Meru.

Day 3 (September 10, 2027): Shira Cave to Lava Tower down to Barranco Camp
Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft down to 13,044 ft
Distance: 10 km/6 miles
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Trek east up toward the striking volcanic rock formation of the Lava Tower, then descend through the striking Senecio Forest down to Barranco Camp. Excellent for high-altitude acclimatization.

Day 4 (September 11, 2027): Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Elevation: 13,044 ft to 13,106 ft
Distance: 5 km/3 miles
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Descend into the base of the Great Barranco Wall, scale the non-technical but steep cliff face, and navigate rolling hills and valleys before descending into the Karanga Valley.

Day 5 (September 12, 2027): Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Elevation: 13,106 ft to 15,331 ft
Distance: 4 km/2 miles
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Connect with the Mweka Trail and climb the rocky ridge to Barafu Hut, completing the Southern Circuit with panoramic views of both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Rest early for summit night.

Day 6 (September 13, 2027): Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, Descent to Mweka Camp
Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,341 ft, descent to 10,065 ft
Distance: 18 km/10 miles
Hiking Time: 13-14 hours
Habitat: Arctic
Begin your summit push around midnight under cold, starry skies. Pass Stella Point (18,900 ft) to witness a breathtaking sunrise before arriving at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend back down past Barafu to Mweka Camp.

Day 7 (September 14, 2027): Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Elevation: 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft
Distance: 10 km/6 miles
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
Complete your final descent through the lower rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your official climbing certificates before being transferred back to Moshi.
