Overview: 8 Days Lemosho Route Joining Group
The 8-day Lemosho Route is widely considered one of the most scenic trails on Mount Kilimanjaro, offering panoramic vistas from various sides of the mountain. As one of the premier routes, it’s a fantastic choice for climbers due to its balance of low crowds, stunning scenery, and a high summit success rate. This route is especially ideal for beginners, as the longer duration provides optimal time for acclimatization.
The Lemosho Route begins on the western side of Kilimanjaro at Londorossi Gate. From there, the trek moves through lush rainforest to the Shira Plateau over the first two days. The trail then continues east towards Lava Tower, followed by a descent to Barranco Valley via the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu Camp.
