Day 0 : Arrival Day (November 15, 2027) - Airport Transfer to Moshi
You will be warmly welcomed upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and privately transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. You will meet our expert Kilimanjaro mountain guide for a thorough pre-climb briefing and equipment check, followed by dinner and rest in preparation for the next morning.

Day 1 (November 16, 2027) : Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa
Elevation: 7,742 ft to 9,498 ft
Distance: 6 km / 4 miles
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rainforest
We depart Moshi for Londorossi Gate (approx. 4-hour drive) to complete national park entry formalities. Afterward, we drive onward to the Lemosho trailhead to begin our trek through the undisturbed rainforest winding up to our first overnight campsite.

Day 2 (November 17, 2027) : Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Elevation: 9,498 ft to 11,500 ft
Distance: 8 km / 5 miles

Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail opens up into a savannah of tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock. Ascending through rolling hills and crossing peaceful streams, we arrive at the edge of the Shira Ridge before a gentle descent into Shira 1 Camp, where you will enjoy your first stunning view of Kibo across the plateau.

Day 3 (November 18, 2027) : Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut

We spend the day exploring the magnificent Shira Plateau with a gentle eastward walk across moorland meadows toward Shira 2 Camp, then diverting toward Moir Hut nestled at the base of Lent Hills. Day 4 (November 19, 2027) : Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Elevation: 13,800 ft to 15,200 ft down to 13,000 ft

We climb up an exposed ridge heading southeast toward the striking Lava Tower (300 ft volcanic rock formation). Afterward, we descend through the unique Senecio Forest down to Barranco Camp. Though you begin and end at similar elevations, this "climb high, sleep low" profile is exceptionally effective for acclimatization.

Day 5 (November 20, 2027) : Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley

The trail from Karanga connects to the Mweka descent trail and ascends into the stark, windswept high desert of Barafu Camp. Our team rests early and prepares equipment for the midnight summit push.

Day 7 (November 22, 2027) : Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak & Descent to Mweka Camp
Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,341 ft (Summit) down to 10,065 ft

Around midnight, we begin our challenging push upward through the freezing night air towards the summit. Climbing in the darkness with regular breaks, we reach Stella Point (18,900 ft) just in time for a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak. Shortly after, we arrive at Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa! After celebrating, we descend past Barafu to Mweka Camp for our final celebratory dinner on the mountain.

Day 8 (November 23, 2027) : Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate & Return to Moshi

On our final morning, we complete a scenic descent through the lower rainforest to Mweka Gate to collect our official Kilimanjaro summit certificates. A vehicle will be waiting at Mweka Village to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi for well-earned rest and relaxation.
