Detailed 2027 Itinerary & Tour Plan

Arrival Day: (September 17, 2027) - Airport Transfer to Moshi

You will be greeted at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and safely transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. Meet your lead mountain expert for a comprehensive briefing and gear check before resting for the night.

Day 1: (September 18, 2027) - Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles | Hiking Time: 5–7 hours
Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft | Habitat: Rain Forest

Depart Moshi for Machame Gate via Machame village on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. Following park registration and permit clearance, begin trekking through the dense rain forest up to Machame Camp.

Day 2: (September 19, 2027) - Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles | Hiking Time: 5–6 hours
Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft | Habitat: Heath

A shorter but steeper day of climbing. Trek uphill past ridges with panoramic views of the plains below and Kibo peak above, observing unique high-altitude plants like Senecio kilimanjari and Lobelia deckenii.

Day 3: (September 20, 2027) - Shira Cave Camp via Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Day 6: (September 23, 2027) - Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate & Return to Moshi
