Day 1 (September 20, 2027): Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa
Elevation: 7,742 ft to 9,498 ft
Distance: 6 km / 4 miles

We depart Moshi for Londorossi Gate (approx. 4-hour drive) to complete national park entry formalities. Afterward, we drive to the Lemosho trailhead to begin our trek through pristine rainforest leading to our first campsite.

Around midnight, we begin our challenging final push to the summit under starry skies. Shortly after, we arrive at Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa! After celebrating, we descend past Barafu to Mweka Camp for a well-earned dinner and rest.
