Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your lead guide for a comprehensive briefing and equipment check before a restful evening.

Day 1: October 26, 2027 – Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles | Hiking Time: 5–7 hours | Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft | Habitat: Rain Forest
Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate through local villages. After park registration, begin trekking through the dense rainforest up to Machame Camp.

Day 2: October 27, 2027 – Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp
Distance: 5 km / 3 miles | Hiking Time: 5–6 hours | Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft | Habitat: Heath
A shorter but steeper climb leading out of the forest into the moorland zone, offering incredible viewpoints of Kibo peak and Mount Meru.

Day 3: October 28, 2027 – Shira Cave Camp via Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Distance: 10 km / 6 miles | Hiking Time: 6–8 hours | Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft down to 13,044 ft | Vegetation: Alpine Desert
Trek high into the alpine desert, passing underneath the imposing Lava Tower (4,600m). Following the golden rule of "walk high, sleep low," descend to Barranco Camp for overnight.

Navigate the famous Barranco Wall and cross scree slopes to reach Barafu High Camp. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the midnight summit push.
