Day 0: Arrival Day (June 3, 2027) - Transfer from Airport to Moshi
You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Meet our expert mountain guides for a comprehensive pre-trek briefing and gear check before resting for the night.

Day 1 (June 4, 2027): Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa
Elevation: 7,742 ft to 9,498 ft
Distance: 6 km / 4 miles
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rainforest
Depart Moshi for Londorossi Gate for park registration before heading to the Lemosho trailhead. Trek through untouched rainforest winding up to your first campsite.

Day 2 (June 5, 2027): Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Elevation: 9,498 ft to 11,500 ft
Distance: 8 km / 5 miles
Hiking Time: 5-6 hours

Ascend out of the rainforest into a savannah zone of tall grasses and volcanic rock. Cross streams and climb Shira Ridge before gently descending to Shira 1 Camp, with your first clear view of Kibo across the plateau.

Begin your challenging midnight summit attempt in freezing conditions. Pass Stella Point (18,900 ft) to witness an unforgettable sunrise over Mawenzi Peak before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend back past Barafu for lunch and continue down to Mweka Camp.
